While fall is just around the corner, I'm hoping that summer is still coming! We've had so much rain and cold weather this summer. I guess that I really hope that we'll have enough sunny days this Fall to make up for the bad summer.

This mosaic was inspired by Rachel (Stitched in Color) and the Halloween/Fall Mug Rug Swap on Flick.

Filled with all those lovely ideas I decided to sew some fall items, such as mug rugs, pillows, etc.

This is my first mug rug! The second one is coming soon! When my mug rugs are finished I'm going to start working on a few pillows for on my boring brown sofa.

One of my colleagues is expecting a baby soon. I'm so excited for her and decided to make her a little present. It is little baby blankie, with a piece of rustling foil inside. It seemed a bit girlie to me, but she wouldn't tell us if it will be a boy or a girl!

The last few weeks I've been busy basting and hand quilting my big black and white quilt. It will take me a few weeks, maybe months, but I'm sure that it'll be worth all the work.

Yesterday I found this treasure at a second hand store. It is a book from 1976 with sewing and quilting patterns! Some of the patterns for skirts, dresses and tops are very cute, but this little outfit for a boy is very outdated!

Remember this preview in January and this one in May? Finally this top is finished!!

I'm very pleased with it. I wanted to make something pretty for on our bed. I love flowers and different prints, but my husband doesn't and the main color of our bedroom is gray. I chose to go with a lot of different grays, blacks and beige. To spice it up a bit I used red strips.

It is not sandwiched yet and I'm not looking forward to that. Maybe I'll start a few other projects before I do that ;-)

My inspiration came from Ashley's String Quilts and Flee Market Fancy Quilt. Ashley makes the most beautiful quilts.

1. Danish people are very friendly, are always willing to help and speak English very well!
2. Denmark has lovely beaches and beautiful country side.

3. It is easy to rent a bicycle and explore Denmark from the bicycle paths. (You reach places where cars aren't allowed.)
4. There is always a beach nearby!
5. The capital city of Copenhagen is a interesting city. The historical center is compact and can easily be visited on foot or bicycle.
6. Denmark has a lot of history and they are proud of it! For example one of the royal residences, build in 1606, has been a museum since 1838 or Stevns Fort, a Cold war fort build in 1953 to keep an eye on the Russians in the Baltic sea.
7. Lego is from Denmark and is sold everywhere! Even in this 'candy store'! (My husband particularly liked this)

8. Something we really enjoyed: music is everywhere! On the streets, in restaurants...even on our campsite!
9. They have Hytters! Very cute little cabins for rent on campsite, when you don't like to camp in a tent or camper.

10. Patchworkstores are everywhere!! (I was very aware of the fact that I have enough fabrics already and the car was packed with camping gear, so I only bought one big piece of background fabric. I'm so proud of myself!)

(11. It is always good to be back home and sleep in your bed and take a shower in your own bathroom!)

What to quilt next? um How about a Chinese coin quilt? with a couple applique bugs for a summer picnic quilt?

This week it occurred to me that in the things I do, I don't always trust God. There are so many situations when I don't know what to do and I tend to forget to ask for Gods help. He knows just what I need. My Lord Jesus Himself said that in Mat 6: 31-34.

Driving home from work, this song playing on the radio reminded me of His greatness and of the fact that whatever is going on in my life, God is so much bigger and can and wants to help me. That doesn't mean that everything will be all right, but He'll be with me and I can trust Him.

From top to bottom project #3, #2 and #1

Remember my husbands quilt I told you about last time. I decided not to throw it away, but to wash it and fix the ugly parts.

This is project #3 that I started... I suppose that I have to finish these three first and then start a few new projects! Does anyone else have those problems of starting too many sewing projects?

I'm sorry I don't post as much as I would like to do, but these 3 quilts and all the plants that are coming up in my garden (lettuce, strawberries, sunflowers) are taking up so much of my time.
